I started shaping because it brought together two things I've always loved: surfing and being creative. From the beginning, the entire process of building a surfboard captivated me. Shaping gave me a way to express myself through something I could create with my own hands, and then take that creation into the ocean and ride it.
There's an incredible feeling that comes from surfing a board you made yourself.
Building boards in Hawaiʻi, home to some of the best waves on Earth, makes it even more meaningful. Being able to shape boards for surfers around the world who share that same connection to the ocean is what continues to inspire me. It's more than just building a surfboard — it's about creating something that becomes part of someone's experience in the water.
